Pros:
This is the best basketball system that I have ever seen!
Best Uses:
The kids find this system to be none stop fun. They are playing on it every day.
Describe Yourself:
Dad of 7
Bottom Line:
The Raider basketball system is the best bang for the buck on the market today. We looked at all of the basketball systems on the market including the Goalilla, and for the price the Raider could not be beat. The Raider came with both the pole pad and the backboard pad included. The system can also be lowered to 6.5 feet. The kids can slam dunk and really get into the game.

Shopping for Basketball Systems

When you head out to the sporting goods store or sit down with you computer and begin to look online, one thing is for sure, there are a lot of basketball systems out there to pick from. However, if you want to make sure that you money is invested wisely you need to consider some points when looking at basketball systems.

Value in Basketball Systems

No matter what the need might be, money is money and when you are looking for a new basketball system it is just like everything else, you want to at least get what you pay for, and would most likely want to get even more. That "even more" is usually found in the form of "value". What is "value"? Value is that feeling that you get inside when you buy something, let's say a basketball system, and you get more than what you paid for. For example if you bought a new system and you did so because the price was right and it was able to be lowered down to 6.5 feet for little Johnny, that fact that you found out that you also got both the backboard pad and the pole pad when you opened the box, would make you feel like you had a real value on your hands. Basically you feel as though you got a great product for the amount of money that you spent.

With that in mind, you need to be on the lookout for value when you are shopping for a new basketball system. That is what comparing products is all about. If you see two basketball systems and the both look similar and they are the same price, but one comes with a pole pad and a backboard pad, which one would you choose? Which one would provide the better value? If you guessed the basketball system with all of the padding you would be correct. Your investigation should not stop there however.

Basketball Systems and Features

Some other things to look for are features, and the context of those features. For example consider the pretty finish on the basketball systems that you are looking at. Would it not be nice to have that finish last for a long long time? Yes, of course it would. We how do you know which one will last the longest? You will have to do a little digging. There are some basketball systems that are made in China, where the finish is something that is not that important. In other words the paint or powder coating will look good for a while, but down the road it will surly fade, peel and ultimately rust. In you comparison shopping phase, while you are looking for value you notice that there are some basketball systems that have a zinc powder coating that has been applied under the final black powder coating. This, you find, provides superior rust protection. Again if the prices on two basketball systems is close and one is offering a zinc powder coat primer, which system is the better value? The one with the zinc primer!

Basketball Systems - Effort, Effort, Effort

OK, now that we have the basic idea of value secured in our minds, lets consider the overall effort that will be needed when shopping for a basketball system. There are many resources available to you. Something to keep in mind is that retail stores do not have the space needed to display all of the basketball systems that they carry. In fact the space that is allotted is usually a result of some political action within the company or from a well monetized vendor. That being said, while you are in the stores looking, remember that there are money other options that are available to you. Try to use the basketball systems that you do "touch and feel" as a base to go by. In other words, look, read, and compare. Compare the features and other amenities that will help your basketball system purchase to be the best that it can be. Don't be afraid to call the manufacturers and ask questions. Most will be happy to let you know how great their basketball systems are. Take notes and listen. Ask the questions that will give you the answers to your value seeking probes. And don't forget that a basketball system purchase could well be considered and investment and not a purchase at all.
